This cobalt blue Limitat 2009 stein based on an original beer stein mold sculpted in 1850 in the Westerwald region of Germany. The noble and majestic beauty of this stoneware stein perfectly captures the grandeur and power of the historic figures that dramatically adorn the stein. These include Kaiser Maximilian II, the ruler of the Holy Roman Empire from 1564 until 1576, and his royal Electors. Each nobleman featured on this beer stein is beautifully formed in intricate raised relief detail. A splendid antiqued lid forged of genuine pewter forms the crowning touch to this masterpiece of the stein maker's art. Pewter ball thumb grip.
