This beautifully detailed large advent calendar depicts the Christmas market in Würzburg near the river Main with the Marienberg Fortress and the Old Main Bridge in the distance.
With more than 1300 hundred years of history, Würzburg is one of the oldest cities in Germany. Located on both sides of the Main River Würzburg offers a wealth of sights and monuments such as the Alte Mainbrücke, the Marienberg Fortress and the Käppele, the Falkenhaus, the Alte Kranen, the St. Kilian Cathedral, the Bürgerspital to the Holy Spirit and the Würzburgers Residence.
The detailed picture has 24 little doors to open. Each door has a little picture behind it. The tradition is to open one door each day from December 1 thru December 24. Children love to open a door a day as they count down to Christmas.
