Austrian Beer Stein
This hand-painted, relief decorated German beer stein features three panels depicting motifs from Vienna, Salzburg and Innsbruck Austria.
The center panel featuring Wien includes symbols of the city including a Lipizzaner stallion, Stephans dom and Ferris wheel. On the left a bust of Mozart and his "Geburtshaus" (birth place), Glockenspielturm (Glockenspiel tower) and Hohensalzburg Castle honor the city of Salzburg. Innsbruck, a city in the Alps, appropriately has those majestic mountains towering over the old town (Altstadt) with the sun glinting off the Goldenes Dachl (Golden Roof).
"Salzburg", "Wien" and "Innsbruck" are carved into a continuous scrolling banner around the base punctuated by a historic Austrian coat of arms, violin and kissing couple on a medallion.
