This beer stein features the painting "Cobblestone Christmas" by well-known artist Thomas Kinkade. Although not German, Kinkade created evocative scenes inspired by both American and European settings.
The village shown in his "Cobblestone Bridge" painting makes for a cozy Christmas scene. The glow of the setting sun and warm windows of the cottages are diffused in the snowy landscape. The trees are iced with snow and evergreens are decorated as Christmas trees. The bridge bears garlands and wreaths.
The scene is framed by elegant 24 K gold scrolling and two golden lanterns. A panel below the picture displays the artist’s name in the style of a metal plaque found on a real painting. An engraved, conical pewter lid tops off this classic stein.
