Swiss Themed Beer Stein
This relief beer stein shows a panorama of famous cities & landmarks in Switzerland & their skylines/notable monuments including Lucerne (Luzern), Zermatt, the Rhine Falls or Rheinfall (largest plain waterfalls in Europe), Interlaken, Montreux, Bern, Vaduz (in Liechtenstein), Lausanne, Grindelwald, Zurich, St. Moritz & Geneva (Geneve).
The front features a traditionally dressed Swiss man blowing a swiss horn, alphorn or alpenhorn (reportedly used for communication or signaling in olden days). A St. Bernard sits close by and an edelweiss bears a swiss crest. The banner reads "Switzerland".
The handle of this beer stein is molded to form a Swiss mountain climber with rope and alpine flowers. The hand-painted decoration and deep cobalt background serve to accent the scenes depicted.
Includes pewter conical lid.
