A sword smith is depicted with his forge fires blazing behind him in hand painted details on this elegant black & gray beer stein with 24K gold accents.  The text reads " Klingenstadt Solingen" or City of Blades, Solingen.  Solingen is well know for their expertise in crafting quality blades for swords, knives and scissors.  The middle-western German city is home to many well known companies including knife makers Wüsthof and J. A. Henckels.
