Product Description
Santa's List German Christmas Advent Calendar
This German advent calendar shows Santa checking his list with a basket of letters. His faithful Golden Retriever lays near his feet while the cat naps on a footstool near the glowing warmth of the Christmas tree. Two children peek in the window, hoping to find out if they made it on the coveted nice list.
The detailed picture has 24 little doors to open. Each door hides a small picture. The tradition is to open one door each day from December 1 thru December 24 in anticipation of Christmas. A great activity with children and family during the holiday season.
Tradition of the Advent Calendar
The tradition of the advent calendar dates back to 1851 in the Protestant parts of Germany. The first advent calendar with little doors was printed in the early 1900's and continues today.
