This German advent calendar shows Santa with a donkey laden with toys arriving in a snowy mountain village. Woodland creatures including squirrel, deer, rabbits and owl watch as the children merrily dance at the arrival of Christmas. Their dachshund wearing a heart tag leaps joyfully while their cat sits on the cabin porch. A full moon glows above in the starry sky.
The detailed picture has 24 little doors to open. Each door has a little picture behind it. The tradition is to open one door each day from December 1 thru December 24. Children love to open a door a day as they count down to Christmas.
