Limited Edition Rhein River Panorama Beer Stein
The front of this Rhein River Panorama beer stein features a high relief scene of a knight on horseback holding a banner reading "Germany" and "Deutschland". The light blue band wrapping around the sides of the stein is the Rhein river with the notible monuments on it's banks including: Loreley, Koln am Rhein, Rudesheim, St. Goar, Drachenfels and Burg Stahleck in Bacharach.
The coat of arms on either side of the horse depicts an Eagle (on right), which is the dominant state coat of arms in Northern Germany (formerly Prussia), while the Lion crest on the left represents the predominant state Coat of Arms in Southern Germany (similar to the Bavarian Lion).
This hand painted full color stein is a wonderful memento of a trip down the Rhein river.
