Product Description
Hand painted and beautifully detailed German made beer stein with relief decoration depicting scenes, traditions and landmarks of the Rhine River Valley. The text "Rhein" is presented in large gilded letters on the front. Above wine makers harvest the grapes, filling a large wooden tub for pressing. Loreley, the mythical wicked siren of the most treacherous passage way in the Rhein, is perched on a peak above Burg Katz (Cat Castle) with Burg Rheinfels on the opposite bank. The sides show detailed scenes of towns in the Rhein region including: Koblenz, Boppard, St. Goar, Köln, Bacharach, Kaub/Pfalz (Burg Pfalzgrafenstein in Kaub) and Rüdesheim. A Rhein river valley cruise ship is shown to the left of the main panel. The scenes are decorated with scrolls, grapes and leaves.
