The Republican Elephant character is decked out in red, white and blue with one leg resting on a soap box as his trunk tips his hat adorned with stars and stripes and he holds a cigar. Elements of the US flag are seen in his bow tie & hat. Porcelain, hand-painted figural decoration made using techniques that have been passed down for hundreds of years. The handle is a white pillar. A pewter lid is concealed under the porcelain head.
