Red Baron Beer Stein 

This rustic finish Red Baron beer stein commemorates the Red Baron (Der rote Baron, Manfred von Richthofen) with a hand painted portrait of the pilot on the front.  The base reads "1892-1918", "Manfred von Richthofen, Rittmeister (Kampfflieger)" (captain, fighter pilot)

His Fokker Dr.1 tri-plane is depicted flying on the right in relief decoration and German flags appear on the left side.  A painted solid pewter figurine of the tri-plane with Iron Crosses adorns the top of the lid.

This beer stein was originally produced by Thewalt GmbH of Germany and is now being faithfully reproduced from the original mold by King-Werk GmbH of Germany.
