Product Description
This stoneware, raised-relief decoration horn is based on the original sculpted by Peter Duemler over 100 years ago. The scene near the tip of the horn features the famous battle in the Teutoburger Forest showing Germanic warriors conquering the Roman legionnaires. In the middle a warrior is shown holding a shield with the words "Und sie tranken noch eins ehe sie gingen" which means "and they drank another one before they went on". The scene closer to the mouth of the horn shows the Germanic warriors celebrating the victory with their families and enjoying beer out of their drinking horns. These scenes also appear on the reverse side of the horn. A leather strap for carrying/hanging the horn is included. This horn features a resin cast antler stand, upon which the horn rests.
