A panorama drawing of the Austrian city of Salzburg, known for it's universities, well preserved architecture and as the birthplace of Mozart, is shown on this stein's wrap-around decoration.  The river Salzach, Alpine peaks and the Festung Hohensalzburg (Salzburg's medieval fortress) are all pictured the detailed hand colored decoration. The banner reads "Salzburg" and relief castle towers on the front add another dimension to this historical beer stein.

This unique stein has a lathe turned wooden top set into a pewter lid.
