High quality set of two pewter shot cups.  A relief band of ornate scroll work encircles this pewter schnapps or shot cup in the Pfeffersäcke series.  The Nuremberg "Pfeffersäcke" (Pepper Bags) is the nickname for wealthy merchants of Nuremberg in the Middle Ages, as many had acquired their assets through trade in spices.
