Product Description
Nostalgic Village German Christmas Advent Calendar
This German advent calendar with glitter accents depicts a nostalgic German village with traditional houses and curving streets. A mother strolls through town pushing her child in a wooden sled. Children carol while taking their dog for a walk and delivering presents.
The detailed picture has 24 little doors to open. Each door hides a little picture.
Tradition of the Advent Calendar
The tradition of the advent calendar dates back to 1851 in the Protestant parts of Germany. The first advent calendar with little doors was printed in the early 1900's and continues today. The tradition is to open one door each day from December 1 thru December 24. A great activity to do with family during the count down to Christmas.
