This German advent calendar features a free standing 3D design that folds out to 22.5" wide. Mary and Joseph arrive at the manager while an angel prepares baby Jesus' bed. Shepherds with their sheep take note of the holy family while the wise men arrive in the distance. Two angels hold a banner at the top proclaiming "Gloria in excelsis Deo".
The detailed picture has 24 little doors to open. Each door has a little picture behind it. The tradition is to open one door each day from December 1 thru December 24. Children love to open a door a day as they count down to Christmas.
