Product Description
Nativity German Christmas Advent Calendar
This German advent calendar depicts an intimate scene of the nativity. The manger glows with the light of Jesus; Mary tenderly holds the boy with Joseph nearby. Children, shepherds and stable animals reverently observe the miraculous moment.
The detailed picture has 24 little doors to open. Each door has a little picture behind it.
Tradition of the Advent Calendar
The tradition of the advent calendar dates back to 1851 in the Protestant parts of Germany. The first advent calendar with little doors was printed in the early 1900's, with the tradition continuing today. One door is opened each day from December 1 thru December 24 in anticipation of Christmas. A great activity to do with family.
