Product Description
Authentic Salt Glaze Beer Stein
Munich Purity Law 1487 gray salt glaze finish stoneware beer stein 0.5 Liter. The logos of the "big six" breweries of Munich - Augustinerbräu, Hacker-Pschorr, Hofbräuhaus, Löwenbräu, Paulaner & Spaten - accompany a seal for the Münchner Reinheitsgebot of 1487 - The Munich Beer Brewing Purity Law passed in 1487. München's version of this beer brewing law greatly influenced the country-wide German Reinheitsgebot passed 29 years later in 1516. Detailed cobalt blue stamped decoration.
Salt glazing is a unique process and involves throwing salt into the kiln during the firing process; thus variations, darkening, or spotting in the finish are normal and make each stein one of a kind!
