Product Description

This German made stein celebrates the iconic Bavarian city of Munich (München) with hand painted details and a dark cobalt blue background.  The front bears a banner held by a traditionally dressed couple reading München with the world famous Hofbräuhaus brewery below.  

Vignettes notable and popular Munich landmarks wrap around the body of the stein including the Frauenkirche, Rathaus, Prinzregenten Theater, the Bavaria statue in front of the Ruhmeshalle (hall of fame), Feldherrnhalle and Nymphenburg.

The upper rim is decorated with symbols of Bavaria: a stoneware kannenbäcker beer mug, wurst (sausage), a pretzel, an edelweiss, traditional German hunter hat and beer wagon teams pulling kegs to Oktoberfest. The lower rim includes a large Bavaria lion crest with unfurled flags, alpine rose, blue gentian, edelweiss, German eagle and the coat of arms for Bayern & Munich.  A pointed pewter conical lid crowns the top.
