This German paper advent calendar with glitter accents depicts the Piazza del Duomo in Milan, Italy at Christmas.  The details of the Milan Cathedral and festively lit Galleria Vittorio Emanuele are carefully reproduced on paper in fine detail.  A large & showy Christmas tree, as well as, street artists dressed as the Vitruan Man & Verdi playing the violin give the piazza a uniquely Italian Christmas atmosphere.  

Some of the windows of this calendar reveal other famous buildings, landmarks & symbols of Milan.

The detailed picture has 24 little doors to open. Each door has a little picture behind it. The tradition is to open one door each day from December 1 thru December 24. Children love to open a door a day as they count down to Christmas.
