Product Description
This stoneware character or figural stein reveals the Bavarian sense of humor.
This wild boar named "Max Der Bayer" (Max the Bavarian) epitomizes the Bavarian culture while dancing the Schuhplattler, a traditional folk dance - stomp, clap and strike the sole of your shoe (Schuh), thighs and knees with your hands held flat (platt). In full costume Max wears lederhosen with edelweiss & Bavaria flag decoration, Alpine hiking boots, mountaineering walking stick, backpack (or Rucksack) with his Dachshund resting inside and German hunter hat with real hair in the Gamsbart.
Beautifully detailed, this German made stein includes a tattoo on Max's arm reading "I love Bavaria", the traditional Bavarian Kannenbacker 1 liter stein frothing with beer, a white radish and a Weisswurst Oktoberfest sausage shaped handle.
Hand painted details.
A pewter lid is concealed under the ceramic head.
Compliment Max with his wife Rosie the Bavarian Boaress Beer Stein.
