Product Description
Swiss Beer Stein
This hand-painted, relief decorated German beer stein features three panels. The front depicts a man in traditional Swiss dress blowing an Alpenhorn. The Matterhorn, the tallest peak in the Alps, is shown towering over the lush valley dotted with cozy chalets. The right has a vignette of Zermatt, the municipality in which the Matterhorn can be found. Zermatt is well known as a skiing and mountaineering area. The left features the Gornergrat or the Gorner Ridge, a rocky ridge in the Alps. The Gornergrat train is named after this ridge and is shown pulling into the station with the Matterhorn as backdrop.
The base and rim of the beer stein is bordered by a garland edelweiss. Relief pewter conical lid and cobalt blue background.
