This solid pewter 1 liter beer stein includes beautifully detailed relief scenes of a Marksman (Freischütz) hunting in the Alps.  The front panel shows the marksman with his kill and in the left panel he stops to enjoy his pipe after the kill is processed & ready to take home. The left side shows his skill with hunting calls, luring a mature elk out of the forest, while his horse and dog wait patiently.    Fanciful pillars frame the scenes with oak leaves and acorns bordering the rim & lid medallions of wildlife.  A majestic eagle perches on the lid.
