Medieval German story in which Lohengrin, a knight of the Holy Grail, is led to Antwerp by a swan, saves Elsa and marries her. Richard Wagner based his libretto for the opera "Lohengrin" on this story. Lohengrin and Elsa in relief and pewter conical lid. Hand-painted.

Chips in the finish...
This stein is beautiful! The only reason it received a 4 over a 5 is that it came delivered (Very fast) with a couple chips in it. Otherwise it is a high relief with very beautiful art decoration. I love it and would buy it again in a second.
