Product Description

This medieval themed German stoneware beer stein depicts four men playing a game of dice in the castle cellar.  A hound dozes under the table and the men imbibe with their steins of beer.

The sides feature scrolls upon which is written: "Das Leben ist ein Würfelspiel, wir würfeln alle Tage, dem einen gibt das Schicksal viel, dem andern Müh' und Plage." which translates as: "Life is a game of dice, that every day we roll, to some it brings good fortune, and from other's, takes its toll."

Traditional style beer stein with deep cobalt blue background, relief decoration and pewter lid.

This beer stein was originally produced by Thewalt GmbH of Germany and is now being faithfully reproduced from the original mold by King-Werk GmbH of Germany.
