Mythological Limited Edition Collectible German Beer Stein
This stunning 1.5 liter antique style Limited Edition Collectible stein is a true masterpiece of the steinmaker's art and depicts a scene of the Deutsches Eck at the meeting of the Rhine and Mosel rivers. The stein is replicated from a historic original currently in the archives of King Werk in Hoehr-Grenzhausen, Germany. In the German mythology the romantic rivers Rhine and Mosel are regarded as a happily married couple: Father Rhine and Mother Mosel. Their affluents are seen as their children.
At the "German Corner" (Deutsches Eck) in the town of Koblenz, Father Rhine and Mother Mosel flow into. At this very point int he year 1897 a monumental statue was erected celebrating German Emperor Wilhelm I of Prussia. This stein was created in honor of this event.
A 4-tiered conical lid of genuine pewter ornately decorated in detailed raised relief crowns this beautiful limited edition work of art.
The mold for this stein was originally sculpted by an unknown master modeller around the year 1898 and is now being reproduced by King-Werk GmbH. This beer stein features an impressive facon lid, cream colored background, cobalt blue accents and a certificate of authenticity with history on the back.
Limited Edition of 2,500 individually numbered beer steins Worldwide! Each stein is individually numbered by hand.
