Antique Falcon Hunt 2 Liter Beer Stein
This magnificent King-Werk 2019 Limitat 2 Liter antique style beer stein portrays a scene from a triumphal procession designed and organized by the painter Hans Markart in 1879 to celebrate the Silver Wedding Anniversary of the Austrian Emperor Franz Joseph I and his wife Elisabeth (Sissi) of Bavaria. Couples on horseback dressed in regal regalia for the falcon hunt also participated in this triumphal procession. An intricately sculpted raised relief cameo of one such couple exchanging a tender kiss dominates the center of the stein in dramatic detail. A four-tiered conical lid of genuine pewter ornately decorated in detailed raised relief crowns this beautiful limited edition work of art.
The mold for this stein was originally sculpted by an unknown master stein artist in the year 1895 and is now being reproduced by King-Werk GmbH. This beer stein features an impressive facon lid, cream colored background, cobalt blue accents and a certificate of authenticity with history on the back.
