Victory Feast Old German Beer Stein
This King-Werk 2018 Limitat 2 Liter handpainted beer stein features the Victory Celebration of Hermann the Cheruskan Prince with his fellow tribesmen after defeating three Roman legions under commander Publius Quinctilius Varus in detailed relief decoration. This was the historic battle of the Teutoburg Forest in the year 9 AD. Hermann, with his wife at his side, dominates the central scene, and are surrounded by his followers celebrating the victory with huge horns of mead. The scene to the left portrays the captured Roman soldiers being sacrificed to the war gods. As a result of this victory, "Germania remained" independent of Roman Rule.
The mold for this stein was originally sculpted by an unknown master stein artist around the year 1880 and is now being reproduced by King-Werk GmbH. This beer stein features an impressive facon lid, cream colored background, hand painted accents and a certificate of authenticity with history on the back.
