King Barbarossa Beer Stein
This 2 Liter King-Werk Limitaet 2011 beer stein features Frederick Barbarossa (red beard) German king and emperor of the Holy Roman Empire charging on his horse in high detailed relief decoration. Barbarossa (1122 – June 10, 1190) united Germany and was considered one of the most charismatic leaders of his age. Legend tells that he is not dead, but asleep with his knights in a cave in Mount Untersberg of Bavaria or in the Kyffhaeuser mountains in Thuringia. When ravens cease to fly around the mountain, he will awake. The mold for this stein was originally sculpted by Peter Duemler in 1885 and is now being reproduced by King-Werk GmbH. This beer stein features an impressive facon lid, deep cobalt background with ivory and color accents and a certificate of authenticity with history on the back.
