2 Liter Antique Style Beer Stein
This King-Werk 2011 Limitat 2 Liter beer stein features Frederick Barbarossa (red beard) German king and emperor of the Holy Roman Empire charging on his horse in high detailed relief decoration. Barbarossa united Germany and was considered one of the most charismatic leaders of his age.
Legend tells that he is not dead, but asleep with his knights in a cave in Mount Untersberg of Bavaria or in the Kyffhaeuser mountains in Thuringia. When ravens cease to fly around the mountain, he will awake.
The mold for this stein was originally sculpted by Peter Duemler in 1885 and is now being reproduced by King-Werk GmbH.
This beer stein features an impressive facon lid, deep cobalt background with ivory and lighter blue accents and a certificate of authenticity with history on the back.

The beer steins are reproduced according to still existing records and using the original patterns of the models created by Peter Duemler (1860-1907), one of the best-known artists of his time, more than a century ago.
