Siegfrieds Return Beer Stein
This 3 Liter, 17.5" tall 2010 limitaet beer stein depicts the famous scene "Siegfried's Return" in the German legend of the Niebelungen. This legend, based on historic events in the 5th & 6th century A.D., tells of the dragon-slayer Siegfried, how he was murdered and of this widow Kriemhild's revenge. This stein shows his triumphant return from Iceland, handing over the Bridal Cup to Kriemhild. The scene is supervised by King Gunther of Burgundy, who promised Siegfried his sister, Kriemhild, as wife, if he aids to win Brunhild Princess of Iceland for himself.
This stein was originally modeled around 1890 by an unknown designer and is now being faithfully reproduced by King-Werk GmbH.
Hand-painted dramatic high relief decoration with 24K gold accents set against a cobalt blue background. Includes a certificate of authenticity and history in German and English.
Limited Edition of 2,500 individually numbered beer steins Worldwide!
