Product Description
Ice Skating German Advent Calendar
This German advent calendar shows an inviting ice skating scene with a rustic arched stone bridge. A child on a sled urges her dog to pull her on the frozen pond. Two other children hang a holly & ivy garland on the town's Christmas tree.
Warm lights glow from the buildings and reflect off the pond amidst the snow-covered forest. The detailed picture has 24 little doors to open, with each door hiding a little picture.
Tradition of the Advent Calendar
The tradition of the advent calendar dates back to 1851 in the Protestant parts of Germany. The first advent calendar with little doors was printed in the early 1900's and continues today. The tradition is to open one door each day from December 1 thru December 24. A great activity to do with family during the holiday season.
