German Wildlife Dog Stein

This beer stein features a unique grotto or cave that is molded into the body with a hunter sitting inside accompanied by his loyal dog.  The hunter and dog are made from compressed marble dust from the world famous Carrara mines and is hand painted in northern Italy.  The stein body depicts woodland creatures with a family of deer on one side and a mountain goat or Alpine Ibex/Steinbock in the Alps on the reverse.  Hand painted relief decoration, dark brown glaze accents and pewter lid.
