Die Schutzmarke - The Trademark
The HB logo with crown is the oldest brewery brand in Munich. The head of the HB brewery (Herr Staubwasser) registered the Hofbräuhaus trademark with the Munich Regional Court and the Imperial Patent Office (Berlin) in 1879. As the patent office opened their doors in 1877, HB was able to secure their branding and the iconic trademark became known to be "solely for the Royal Hofbräuhaus Munich company".
The world famous Hofbräuhaus is one of Munich's oldest breweries. It was founded in 1589 and has since been one of Munich's most popular tourist attractions.
