Product Description
This beautifully detailed city motif beer stein is a tribute to the historical landmarks of Nürnberg. The front depicts a view of old Nuremberg over the river Pegnitz. A small vignette of Nüremberg castle (burg) is shown above with the city coat of arms emblazoned on the bottom.
The sides have four vignettes depicting the Rathausgasse (gate by the Rathaus - town hall), Henkersteg (the Hangman's bridge built in 1457, where Nuremberg's hangman lived), Lorenz K(irche) (St Lorenz Church build between 1270–1350) and the Burgpartie (a part of Nüremberg castle including the Tiefer Brunnen - the small building in the center housing a deep well and the Sinwellturm - Sinwell Tower).
Beautiful scrolling, roses, hops & hop leaves frame the scenes set against a dark cobalt blue background.
Pewter lid, hand painted relief decoration, cobalt blue background.
