Product Description
This beautifully detailed city motif beer stein is a tribute to the historical landmarks of Heidelberg. The front depicts the iconic view of the Heidelberg castle high above the old bridge over the river Neckar. The city coat of arms is emblazoned on the top with a banner reading "Alt Heidelberg du Feine" (Old Heidelberg, you are so fine) below.
The sides have four vignettes depicting the Heidelberg Fass or Tun (giant wine vat originally holding 221,726 liters), Perkeo, a famed court jester in the 18th century of small stature who was caretaker of the castle's wine stock including the keg, the Ritter hotel and the Schlosshof (castle courtyard). Beautiful lattice work & scrolling frame the scenes set against a dark cobalt blue background.
