This hand-painted relief decorated stein shows an intoxicated monk sleeping next to a large keg of beer in a cellar. The stein reads "Wer Bier trinkt, schlaeft gut. Wer gut schlaeft, suendigt nicht. Wer nicht suendigt kommt in dem Himmel." which translates as: "He who drinks beer sleeps well. He who sleeps well cannot sin. He who does not sin goes to heaven."
