Product Description

This hand-painted relief German made beer stein celebrates the Danube river (or Donau in German).  The front features a banner reading "Donau - Danube" with a large Danube river cruise ship below.

Vignettes of cities and notable landmarks on the banks of the Danube are highlighted against a deep cobalt blue background.  These include: Regensburg, Stift Melk (Melk Abbey in Austria), Belgrad, Bukarest (Bucharest, capital of Romania), Wien (Vienna), Passau, Donaueschingen (town in the German black forest), Budapest, Bratislava, and Sofia (capital of Bulgaria)

The upper rim is decorated with ships wheels and anchors. The lower rim is encircled by the crests of the countries in which the Danube flows.
