The increase in the popularity of cigar smoking was the inspiration for this beer stein. It is made of porcelain and has a deep-relief, figural design. The cigars themselves are all hand-painted. Then, permanently fired gold transfer decorations are used to replicate the individual paper ring labels around each cigar and the wrapper around the bundle. The top of the beer stein is separately cast and mounted onto a pewter lid. Because the lid is hollow, the beer stein can also be used as a cigar holder!
