Product Description
This beautifully detailed advent calendar depicts the Christmas Market (Christkindlmarkt or Weihnachtsmarkt) in Vienna (Wien), Austria. The market is setup in front of the impressive town hall (Rathaus) with a large Christmas tree at the end. A man sells doughnuts (krapfen), while another tends to his horses. Children gather around a puppet show with a jester and alligator. The glowing market stalls and town hall windows give a cozy feel to this German Christmas calendar.
The detailed picture has 24 little doors to open. Each door has a little picture behind it. The tradition is to open one door each day from December 1 thru December 24. Children love to open a door a day as they count down to Christmas.
