This German made stein honors the 30th Anniversary of the Reunification of Germany (1990-2020).  30 Years ago, just one year after the Berlin Wall came down, the former East Germany and West Germany became ONE Germany: The reunited Nation of Germany.

A 3D German pewter Eagle serves as the thumblift rising just behind an authentic piece of the Berlin Wall affixed to the lid.  The striking gold text on a black banner on the front reads "Jahre 30 Years". 

The sides bear scrolling banners reading "Wir sind ein Volk" (We are One Nation) and "Deutschland einig Vaterland" (Germany is our united Fatherland).

These banners are flanked by oak leaves, acorns and crests for all 16 German states; the 10 former Western German states, as well as, the 6 states of former Eastern Germany.

The top rim reads "Oct.03.1990 Reunification of Germany Oct.03.2020" and is repeated in German on the bottom rim.

Historical Background (printed on certificate that is included with purchase)

The Reunification of the two divided States, West Germany and East Germany (which was under Russian occupation since 1945) took place in Fall of 1990. It is officially referred to as the "Deutsche Wiedervereinigung" (Reunification of Germany) and has been celebrated since then each year on October 3rd.  This magnificent stein has been hand-crafted from German clay by use of century-old traditions to honor the courage of hundreds of thousands of people who fearlessly and tirelessly marched in the streets of East Germany 30 Years ago exclaiming "Wir sind ein Volk" (We are One Nation) and "Deutschland einig Vaterland" (Germany is our united Fatherland), and also in gratitude for America's continuous support and protection of West Germany throughout these years.
