This 1 Liter stein is the Official Oktoberfest stoneware beer stein which will be used during Munich's 2012 Oktoberfest, held 9/22/2012 - 10/07/2012! 

The Oktoberfest collectors' mug remains true to the simple shape which has remained unchanged for over a century.  A finished mug has gone through many hands and production steps.  The high-quality finishing, evinced by many fine details, makes the official Oktoberfest mug a valuable example of a traditional handcraft.  The mug is produced by the firm of Rastal, based in Höhr-Grenzhausen, which still today fulfils orders for stoneware and pewter articles in the tradition of the masterly craftmanship of the "Kannenbäckerland".

Each Official beer stein has a copy of the artist's signature on the bottom and a relief decorated antiqued domed pewter lid. Comes with a certificate of authenticity and gift box.
